(Noobie Alert !! - forgive any non-standard terminology...) We have 10
FortiGate or FortiWiFi installations across the country, 9 of which are
hooked into the 'main' network thru IPSec tunnels. We also have a
Primary AD server, and two clone AD's at ...
(I'm relatively new to all this, so please go easy on me...) I need to
upgrade our switch firmware as recommended by Fortinet Tech support.
Most of the switches are easy, just using the FortiGate management
functions, but the 108D is not so simple......
Maybe too late to matter, but we had an almost identical issue, and
nothing we did on the Fortigate helped. We turned off all UTM features,
set both our switch (a FS108D between the ISP and the FG100E) and the
ISP switch to to negotiate to 100Meg man...

So there's no real vulnerability attaching the 108D to a port on out
248E or 224D switches, even though the 108D is upstream of the FG and
the other switch(es) is downstrean of the FG? Maybe I'm just being
paranoid... Jamie
