Description

This article provides the command in the FortiWireless Controller, which can be used to Enable/Disable the WebCLI option.

Scope

AP, FortiWLC, Wireless Troubleshooting.

Solution

WebCLI is the Command Line interface window which can be opened from the FortiWireless Controller WEB GUI.

 

Following is the command, which can be used in the FortiWireless Controller Console or SSH to Enable / Disable the WebCLI option.

 

To Enable the WebCLI:

  • Login to the Console or SSH of the FortiWireless Controller.
  • Execute the below command from the Privileged EXEC mode. Press 'Y' to confirm.

 

Fortinet-WLC-2(15)# webcli enable

 

Warning:Web CLI is relaying on a third-party tool. Enabling it could lead to Cross Site Scripting exploits to the system. It is therefore NOT recommended to enable it on production. Are you sure you want to continue [y|n]? y

Web CLI status Enabled

To Disable the WebCLI:

  • Login to the Console or SSH of the FortiWireless Controller.
  • Execute the below command from the privileged EXEC mode.

 

Fortinet-WLC-2(15)# webcli disable

Web CLI status Disabled
