when to deploy fortiproxy ?

What are the main differences between deploying fortiproxy and using a proxy-based fortigate rule doing web-filtering and app control ? I would imagine two things

- performance....offload this responsibility from the gate to save processing resources

- enhanced features....

What are the key feature enhancements ?

Hi Don,

as you stated the main reason to use it is that FortiProxy provides more Proxy settings and features.

So if your requirement is a secure web gateway then might make sense to use FortiProxy which provides advanced web content caching.
