web filter not running

Hi Taniarto, While many people here are Force Sensitive, few are full Jedi Masters, so the ability to use the Force and fill in the missing gaps of your request is somewhat constrained. 1) What device? 2) What firmware are you running? 3) Have you properly applied it to a firewall rule? 4) Are you sure there is not a rule above the rule in question that is allowing the traffic to pass? 5) What indicators are telling you it is not working (outside of the fact they can reach the sites you want to block)? Any logs? 6) Are the sites they are accessing HTTPS sites, that perhaps require SSL scanning?

Hello taniarto, 1) Just for clarity: Fortigate 110C right? 2) To know the firmware check in the dashboard/status the System Information widget or via console run the command: get system status. 3) 4) ShrewLWD meant to check in the firewall policies to see if maybe there is a policy above the one you have applied the webfilter that could be allowing the traffic before it gets to your webfilter. 5) Check the local logs under Log & Report, you can filter by your IP to gather information on what is happening when accesing the blocked site. 6) Check if the access to the website is done via http or https.
