unable to restore settings and "Registering to Fortigate" popup loop

Good morning,

I have a laptop running Windows 7 that is unable to restore VPN settings from a .conf file; there are no error messages, it just fails to load the settings. Additionally, the "Registering to Fortigate" window pops up every 1-4 minutes until the VPN client is shut down from the notification area.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program a few times, but that doesn't help. This has worked just fine on about 15 other nearly identical laptops.

I have the pop up problem with one user on ver 5.4. Did you ever get this resolved?

I believe this was a licensing issue in our case.
