unable to add static route

Hi, Configuration: Version:Fortigate-200 2.80,build489,051027 Operation Mode: NAT I' m trying to add a static route to connect to a network that is reachable via a router connected to the DMZ. When I add the static route it appears in the list under Router -> Static. However, it doesn' t appear in the " Routing Monitor" page which shows the current routing table. When I try a traceroute to the network, packets are routed to the default gateway. Even stranger, the route monitor does not show " connected" routes for the networks directly attached to the Internal and DMZ ports, although these networks are working fine and have hosts on them that can see out fine. However, the monitor does show a connected route for the external interface. I spoke to an expert from our supplier and he was as baffled as I am. Has anyone seen anything like this? Things I have tried: rebooting re-uploading firmware adding static routes to various remote networks (none appear in the routing table) Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks, James
