I am trying to control mobile devices using FortiGate 100E, All old tutorials where specifying the source device as Android or iPhone ..etc.
but I have a new firmware v7.2.3 which doesn't include this feature don't know why:

Device types have not been available for use in firewall policies since 6.2. (ref )
Nowadays you can either manually define MAC-address objects and use those as source-address items, or use the NAC feature with managed FortiSwitches and assign devices to different VLANs based on device policies. (see e.g. here )
