Just formatted the boot of a remote 60D. Trying to tftp a new firmware onto it from boot loader and while I can successfully ping the remote tftp server, tftp fails. I can confirm via sniffer that it's not even trying to connect. Is the tftp functionality broken when the tftp server is remote even though there exists a default gateway setting, and remote ping works using the testing menu?
Appears this is the case. When remote, you just get:
Connect to tftp server 192.0.2.1 ... tx to gateway 192.168.1.1
Retry count exceeded; starting again MAC: 01:11:11:11:11:11
Connect to tftp server 192.0.2.1 ... tx to gateway 192.168.1.1
I put a VM on the local network to run a tftp server and it downloaded fine that way.
