I've been at this for a couple days so I'm hoping someone can help. This used to work until I did a factory reset. I just updated my licence. LAN/WAN is working just fine, I'm on it right now.
Model: FortiGate 40F
Firmware: v7.0.13 build0566 (Mature)
I just want a basic WIFI AP Bridge - All of the docs and video say to enable the Managed FortiAPs but I don't have any listed. When I try to add one using my 40F serial number is says Invalid Serial Number
I go through the setup where I:
Everything seems to be up I just can't see or join the network from a wifi devices.
I don't remember having to do more than this the first time I set it up.

Hi @bsautner,
FortiGate doesn't have Wifi antenna which means it is not capable of broadcasting SSIDs. Do you have a FortiAP or a third party access point configured?

Hello @bsautner
Have you checked these technical tips ?
regards,
Sheikh
Thanks for the fast response. Yes, my config looks the same as the settings in those tips - I added the SSID manually to the AP and broadcast is enabled. I went through this process again and found that after adding a bridged ssid the Profile FAP221E-default appeared automatically and I used that. Before I added on manually. Still not working though

Regards,
uggg you're right. I was certain we were using the 40F as an AP for over a year and even had to recheck the spec https://www.fortinet.com/content/dam/fortinet/assets/data-sheets/fortigate-fortiwifi-40f-series.pdf
There was indeed an AP device dangling in the back of the cabinet. Thanks!
