[solved] Fortiap 221C enable SNMP did not work
Hello all,
i configured SNMP with the docs: https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/6.2.0/new-features/959406/direct-snmp-monitoring
But if i check, i did not work, i get only an timeout. Tested SNMP 1,2,3. Same, same. If i do an portscan to the AP's IP Adress, the ports are closed:
sudo nmap -PN0 -sU -p 162 192.168.7.12 Starting Nmap 7.60 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2020-03-06 23:11 CET Nmap scan report for 192.168.7.12 Host is up (0.00020s latency). PORT STATE SERVICE 162/udp closed snmptrap Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.31 seconds
sudo nmap -PN0 -sU -p 161 192.168.7.12 Starting Nmap 7.60 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2020-03-06 23:11 CET Nmap scan report for 192.168.7.12 Host is up (0.00020s latency). PORT STATE SERVICE 161/udp closed snmp
Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.31 seconds
Fortigate is an 60E with OS 6.2.3. The AP's have the OS FP221C-v6.0-build0044.

The feature is available from 6.2 and above releases. 221C is not supported in 6.2
