when setting something like this up does the fortiweb typically send logs to fortianalyzer cloud directly or does it use a FortiGate for example and the Fortinet fabric?

Hi,
Strictly speaking, in order to support Fortiweb logging and reporting , FAZ needs ADOMs enabled
FortianalyzerCloud doesn' t support ADOMs feature , check https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortianalyzer-cloud/7.4.3/release-notes/407448/limitations-of-for...
If you've deployed Fortiweb in some cloud (private/public), consider a FAZ VM instance living in the same chosen cloud.
On the other hand, Fortiweb provides by itself useful logging and reporting meanwhile
hote it helps

Hi,
Unfortunately, FAZ Cloud does not support the integration with FortiWeb.
For now, additional storage license only enables FortiAnalyzer Cloud to receive logs from FortiClient and FortiMail in addition to expanding the amount of logs it may store from FortiGates.
