resolve hostnames in reports and in log viewer?

FortiOS 5.0.4 on a FG100D. I' d like to have the nightly report include the resolved hostname as well as the IP address, e.g. in the Traffic Summary section Destination column (and wherever else it might make sense). How do I turn that on in the nightly reports? Similarly, in the Log & Report viewer in the GUI, such as Log & Report -> Traffic Log -> Forward Traffic, I want to be able to see the hostname along with the IP address. There is a hostname column, but it is blank for almost all entries, even entries for which reverse DNS is available. How do I ask the FortiOS GUI to perform reverse DNS lookups for these entries also? thank you,

Hello Jay, Try following: Use this command to configure the following global settings for traffic logging: • resolve IP addresses to host names • display the port number or service (protocol) in the log message Syntax config log trafficfilter set display {name | port} set resolve {enable | disable} end http://208.91.113.73/fgt/handbook/50/5-0-4/fortigate-cli-50.pdf

Hi Livo, sorry for my long delay in responding. There is no " config log trafficfilter" option on my FG100D with FortiOD 5.0.4. My guess is that there is a prerequisite setting somewhere else to make this " config log trafficfilter" apear? thanks,
