Hi, Try to kill and restart the process (using CLI): # diag sys kill 11 16163 The 11 are the signal to kill and restart the process. 16163 are the PID of cmdbsvr process (this number can be changed). If didn' t work, reboot the device or open a fortinet support case. Regards, Paulo Raponi

Never kill the cmdbsvr process!!!! Chances are high, that you lose config! Have a look, if you have a config backup and try rebooting the box in a maintenance window! br, Roman

I lost the config after rebooting the device It display as follows message in booting process. The cmdbsrv is responsible for maintaining and writing configuration! If its process status is " D" it is most likely that it isn' t able to read or write the configuration file from flash!! (telling delayed and waiting for IO) Your box seems to have a flash problem - either a file system error there or some bad blocks on the flash! Formatting the flash and reinstalling the firmware would be a good idea - Maybe also run a bad-block scan... As you got a bigger box there I would strongly suggest, you open a support case and send them the debug log!!! (Download via config-> advanced) br, Roman

Be advised that Fortinet support would most likely will want to do first is get you to format the boot device and tftp new firmware over to it.
