power alternating on fortinet

hi how are you , here i have so urgent problem with my 310B fortinet appliance I get this message when power is alternating on it pid-34 lock_mlog()-504 shmget()failed: No such file or directory now i can' t access it any way ,and all my network can' t send or receive any traffic outside your fast response is appreciated thanks

Hi, and welcome, it looks like you have to format the boot device, upload the firmware and then do a restore on the config.

You need to have your config as a file on your computer. The steps: 1. Connect your PC with the console cable 2. Powercycle the FortiGate 3. When it starts up you can see " Press any key for boot menu" , press a key. 4. In the menu you can select " Format Boot Device" , 5. Then you can select " Upload firmware via TFTP" - Upload the same firmware as before 6. Follow the instructions. 7. Login on the FortiGate 8. Upload your config file 9. The FortiGate will reboot, and you are done ! Good luck ! EDIT: Bob is right

Important: Do not change versions at this step! The version you backed up needs to be the same version you restore to!

thank alot now may i can ask you how i can get the firmware 4.0 for 310B appliance and if i dont have a backup of the configuration what i can do thank you

The firmware is on http://support.fortinet.com If you dont have your config, then you need to start all over again
