Model: ForitGate-50G
I would like to assign the same IP range subnet to between physical interface and internal wifi interface:
Lan 1: 192.168.1.1/27
internal wifi: 192.168.1.1/27
by default system be return warning msg some Lan1 or wifi interface subnet used.
as above case, does it should be add a FortiAP or switch device to solve it?
There are at least 2 solutions to put them in the same VLAN (and subnet):
1. Use bridge mode SSID instead of tunnel mode
2. Or put both physical interface and SSID in the same software switch
Hi AEK
thanks for solutions provided.
but:
1. Use bridge mode SSID instead of tunnel mode <-is work, but I connect the SSID, and the SSID cannot assign to FortiAP profile.
2.put both physical interface and SSID in the same software switch <-when I created tunnel model of SSID which it cannot assign to software switch.
is it my configure problem?
For the second option, make sure that the SSID doesn't have the toggle 'Create address object matching subnet' enabled:
I can do it in my lab. Here test1 is a tunnel mode SSID (without configured IP address).
Try check if there are no dependencies that are preventing you to do so.
