macOS Sonoma VPN error

Hello,

I downloaded forticlient 7.0.7 for macOS. I installed the application, gave permission to fortitray, to fcvse, etc. to absolutely everything I had to give permission. The login interface appears, but I can't activate the VPN from my macbook. When I click on toggle vpn, it does not activate. Any solutions?

Hello

Did you configure your VPN connection parameters? (VPN GW, port, ...)

Did you try telnet vpn-gw on the target port?

I haven't configured anything, only what was installed automatically. Can you help me with this? I got this MacBook for work, and if I can't figure things out, I'll return it...

First you need to contact your remote VPN administrator and ask him for the VPN configuration, i.e.: gateway, port, credentials.

Then just follow this example to configure your VPN client.

Good Day,

Per the release notes, forticlient 7.0.7 does not support Sonoma.

Try with 7.0.10 | 7.2.2 or 7.2.3

Hello,

For further review, the configuration would have to be reviewed against what is configured on the firewall and logs would be required on the fortigate.

Are you using FQDN or an IP address for the connection? If it is FQDN, confirm it is resolving correctly and try with the IP.

In the meantime, if you can export forticlient logs then we can review and that may provide further information but it may be a configuration issue.
