loopback

i read the fortigate admin guide couple of times already regarding loopback but I have hard to comprehend what is all about. can anybody in this forum could enlighten me? best example of using this? thank you

It' s a virtual interface and require a vdom defined for this interface and fwpolicies if you ever need to have interfaces uses it. It can be used for a host requirements, like router-id, bgp neighborship, tunnel end-points and since it' s a virtual loopback, it will never down. Now what' s your question?
