login problem

Our school suffered a power outage longer than my UPSs could handle and everything went down. Since then I' m having problems logging into my FortiMail. I enter in the address of my FortiMail and get asked to confirm the certificate. When I click on " Get Certificate" , It gives me a pop-up login screen instead of giving me a web page to login. Problem is that I once I enter in login info, it still won' t log me in. Any ideas on how to fix? UPDATE: I can access it just fine from the external IP address, but not the internal IP address. UPDATE: If I use Firefox, it no longer gives me a pop-up login and it no longer says the certificate is invailed, but it won' t let me confirm the security exception. UPDATE: Now I can' t access it at all. Here is the message: " 192.168.1.11 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The certificate is only valid for Fortigate"

Hi, one shot in the dark: using console confirm cert with command : set system certificate local defaultcertificate ' Self' and if you use firefox, check ' clear private data' button under Tools menu to erase cached or broken certificates/cookies etc before re-try regards,

OK, I did that and now I' m to where I was originally. I can login externally, but not internally. If I try to login internally I get the following pop-up messages asking for a user name and password but when I enter them, I just get the message again. Firefox pop-up: A username and password are being requested by https://192.168.1.11. The site says: " Web Management" IE pop-up: " The server 192.168.1.11 at Web Management requires a username and password."

what about if you go directly to admin webage? https://192.168.1.11/admin url https://192.168.1.1 has a redirect to https://192.168.1.1/mail (webmail login, maybe is there the issue)

If I go to the admin page directly (internally), then I get a message about a security exception. When I go to accept the certificate I get a pop-up requesting a username and password. both IP/admin and IP/mail end up with a pop-up message requesting username and password, but it never accepts them.

Problem solved. After the power came back on, a switch took the IP address of the FortiMail. It loaded an older configuration.
