ipsec dns suffix

Hi!

   I set up an ipsec tunnel using the iOS VPN cookbook.  However, when I do some basic testing with my ping tool on my iPad, it looks like even though I have "Use System DNS" set on the tunnel, and I do have a DNS suffix specified in the system DNS, that suffix is not being handed out to the iPad.  Therefore, while I can ping things by IP, and by fully-qualified name, I can't ping anything by just it's short name.

   Is there a way to make sure the iOS devices receive and append the correct DNS suffix?
