increase disk space on the FortiAnalyzer VM
Good morning friends, a question.
I need to increase the disk space in the FortiAnalyzer VM, the reason is because we have 8 synchronized fortigates and the complete information is not displayed in the FAZ. Then the TAC recommended that the record disk be increased. https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiAnalyzer/Technical-Tip-Extending-disk-space-in-FortiAnalyzer-...
My problem is that I don't know how much space I should increase, is there some kind of formula? to calculate the space I need

Hello @unknown1020 ,
You can find the formula in this link.
Or you can increase a bit more than now. For example, you configured 500GB before now you can increase to 750GB. If it is not enough, you can increase it again.

Hello
Here is your current status:
- 18 days of analytics logs took almost 200G
- 56 days of archive logs took almost 130G
Suppose you want to keep analytics logs for 90 days and archive logs for 365 days.
Analytics total required space = 90*200/18 = 1000G
Archive total required space = 365*130/56 = 847G
So you need to add 800G for analytics and add 717G for archive.
