I have two application server. i want to monitor UDP e.g port 2234 for my server in fortigate.

I used UDP port 2234 in our application to check application health.

I cannot find UDP protocol on fortigate health check monitor. Only found TCP,ping,Http, hppts, dns.

how can i do for that if i want to check upd health for our server loadbalancing.

My requirement:

i put my two application servers into virtual server and create udp health check. but i cannot find upd health check option.

Best regards,

johnie

Hi Johnie,

It's for VIP loadbalancer? if yes, i don't see udp protocol in ldb-monitor.

Only thoses options :

ping PING health monitor.
tcp TCP-connect health monitor.
http HTTP-GET health monitor.
https HTTP-GET health monitor with SSL.
dns DNS health monitor.

is that what you want?

This option udp is present in fortiADC.

Hi Johnie,

UDP health check is not an available option under ldb-monitor, this could be a feature request.

Yes,It is for VIP load balancer. But I can't find any UDP protocol health check option. In our in house application uses UDP Port number UDP-2289 and UDP-2287. I want to monitor those port for virtual load balancing.
