Hi,
Welcome to the Forums. Bevor 1. of July 2016 you was able to achive this with Youtube Education Filter, but Google has decided to stop supporting YouTube for Schools. Google provides an article entitled "Restrict YouTube content on your network or managed devices" on its support site and here you can find a Fortigate configuration sample http://help.fortinet.com/fos50hlp/54/Content/FortiOS/fortigate-security-profiles-54/Web_Filter/YouTu...
Best, Markus

To block access to specific categories on YouTube, such as music, blogs, series, and movies, you can use several methods depending on your needs:
1. YouTube Restricted Mode
- Go to the YouTube website.
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Select "Settings."
- In the left sidebar, click on "General."
- Toggle on "Restricted Mode." This can help filter out content, but it may not block specific categories entirely.
2. Use a Web Filter
- If you’re managing multiple users (like in a coaching environment), consider using web filtering software or parental controls.
- Tools like OpenDNS, Net Nanny, or Kaspersky Safe Kids allow you to block specific websites or categories.
3. Browser Extensions
- Use extensions like BlockSite or StayFocusd for Chrome, which can block specific URLs or categories of content.
- You can set rules to block certain keywords in URLs.
4. Network Router Settings
- If you have access to your network router, many have built-in options to block specific sites or categories.
- Check the router’s manual for instructions on setting up content filtering.
5. DNS Filtering
- Use a DNS service that allows filtering. For example, OpenDNS allows you to set up filtering categories.
6. Manual URL Blocking
- You can also manually block specific URLs or channels by adding them to your blocked list in the browser settings or in a filtering tool.
Let me know if you need more specific instructions on any of these methods!
