hello, everyone...
could someone knows...
the SoC3 on the some small boxs like 60E does support this h/w function????
h/w per-ip shaper? h/w shared shaper?
thanks...

maybe a stupid question, but...how would you tell it's h/w based??
sorry...
I think my question is not clear....
I'm just curious...
prev SoC like v1 or v2, these chips does not provide h/w shaper and poor CPU performance....
but new SoC3...
AFAIK, better CPU performance, better I/O throughput and improved NPU....
just I don't know whether it dose provide h/w shaper or not...
so my question is h/w traffic shaper is available for SoC3????
I have no any SoC3 box....
but will have plan to buy it....
thanks..

I've got a 60E here and of course it supports traffic shaping. Even my old 60B did.
I think (but that's speculation) that TS is a software feature. It might be offloaded to an NP in higher class FGTs, right. But it does work even in the desktop models, without apparent CPU load (judging from a 80C with ~ 30 Mbps throughput and heavy traffic shaping by IP).
I've noticed many features dragging the CPU down in smaller models but TS was not one of them.
