Hello,
I am using an Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS client.
I installed the forticlient from here: https://www.fortinet.com/support/product-downloads/linux
I have the following issue: when I get prompted to insert the fortitoken key, that prompt lasts only one second, and I can't insert anything.
Should I change something in my setup?
Can you try below setting on Fortigate?
config system global
set remoteauthtimeout 30
Hi Hoygen
On your FortiGate, do you have multiple RADIUS server configurations?
If so, on possible reason is that the FortiGate sends the authentication request to all available RADIUS servers and the first received response (from any RADIUS server) will be accepted by the FortiGate.
Hello, and thank you for your answers. I do not have access to the fortigate, the fortigate is handled by the customer. I think it is an issue of the forticlient in ubuntu.
I received another fortitoken for another customer and the behaviour of the application is the same. The request to insert the fortitoken code just disappears in a second.
Hi Hoygen
Please try other FortiClient versions.
I recommend to try each of 7.4.2, 7.2.7 and 7.0.14.
You can download them from support portal, you should have a valid support contract for that.
