dot1q trunk question
We are doing some very basic vlanning and I am running a dot1q trunk into our fortigate 60C. I have created the VLAN interface on the FG and when I plug the trunk into one of the switchports, it lights up on the device itself, but not in the little widget in the web gui. I have a spare FG and when I plug the exact same trunk line into any of the ports, it lights up in both places and DHCP works. What do I need to do to get this working? I have looked into Duplex and Speed, but those are set to Auto and appear to have both agreed on the same settings. The switch claims it is connected at 1000/full. I am new to fortigates and from a cisco background, so how to troubleshoot this on FG is new to me!
Help!
Thank you for your time,
Pierre9

Hi,
Nothing special should be configured for it to work.
Could it be administrative down?
Edit the interface and check if the interface is disabled.

Are there policies that could interfere with DHCP? Our production router has a lot of policies.
