Has anybody else seen the same weird behavior? As I've mentioned it started all of a sudden, without firmware updates to never versions. It worked previously under 7.0.x.

Do you control your SPF settings in your mail server? Could you define some exemption meanwhile?

This is most likely an issue on your end/mail server. Make sure the domain you are sending from is matched to the SPF/DKIM settings.
