I have a Fortigate 80F device, 6.4.16 fw. I want to block games from opening on LinkedIn at my company. I tried it through the web filter, but it didn't work. How can I do this?
To manage a specific URL, you will have to do Deep Packet Inspection, which will take work to implement. Without DPI you can only see the domain name requested in the HTTPS request and not the full path.

I did that too but it still didn't work
Hi
You can block LinkedIn games by enabling Application Control with SSL deep inspection. Include the “Social Networking Games” category in your policy so FortiGate can detect and block that traffic. If it still doesn’t work, make sure no policy bypasses inspection and verify that your FortiGuard database is up to date.
my advice on a Fortigate, LinkedIn games are usually loaded via subdomains or scripts, so a basic web filter might not catch them. Try using Application Control instead of just web filtering, and look for “Social Games” or “LinkedIn Apps” categories. Another option is to create a custom application signature to block the specific URLs the games use. That usually works better than a simple web filter.
