dia fdsm fds-update command is not working

To list image dia fdsm fds-update command is not working.

(global) # dia fdsm fds-update
Timed out.

Appreciate your advise on how I resolved this issue. TIA :)

If your firewall has a valid contract then it may have an issue communicating with FortiGuard. Either fix the communication issue or try again in a while.

The Firewall has a valid contract and check the FortiGuard connectivity. 

# execute ping guard.fortinet.net
PING guard.fortinet.net (12.34.97.71): 56 data bytes

# execute ping service.fortiguard.net
PING guard.fortinet.net (208.184.237.61): 56 data bytes

5 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

# execute ping update.fortiguard.net
PING fds1.fortinet.com (173.243.138.71): 56 data bytes

--- fds1.fortinet.com ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

I think this may contribute to why the command dia fdsm fds-update is not working.

Does your WAN interface have a private IP address plus a secondary public IP address?
