connect to fortigate 60b to config fails

so i make a connection to a fortigate60 i put the power on the hardware (and connect with a not a cross cable) fixed ip i use 192.168.1.2 so i must browse to 192.168.1.99 i dont see anything what can i do wrong that i dont see anything can i set it to factorysettings? i have the manual so you can link to it.

hi, and welcome to the forums. Make sure you connect your PC to one of the ' internal' ports. Only the ' internal' port has the address 192.168.1.99/24. There is a static IP address on ' wan2' or ' dmz' as well but I don' t remember which one. Anyway, use the ' internal' port. On that port HTTPS is allowed. So, connect via browser to ' https://192.168.1.99' and accept the security warning if any. That should do it. If not, you can access the console command line interface via serial cable and the ' console' port. 9600 baud, 8-N-1. You can use the ' hyperterm' program on windows.
