change port VPN SSL

friends, a question:

I have considered changing the port of the vpn ssl connection since port 443 is not a secure port.

Just change this port and that's it? or what other changes should be made?

Hi,

While implementing SSL-VPN initial configuration from GUI warning 'Port conflicts with the administrative HTTPS port for this system' is appearing.
This happens because FortiOS comes with default port-443 selected for 'SSL-VPN & WEB-GUI' so gives a warning to the administrator to use a different port to avoid conflict.

Refer below KB for your refernce:

I hope this KB will be helpful for you.

Also regarding your query about if any other changes needs to be done, on firewall you just need to specify the port. While choosing the port please choose the port which is not overlapped with other service. While accessing the VPN you have to specify that port under Forti client connection settings or while accessing via the web eg https://a.b.c.d:port-number

Pratik
