can I upgrade my EMS server without upgrading the ems vpn clients?

I have ems server version 7.0.6 build 0358.

my vpn client running version 7-0-7

need to now if i can upgrad the server without the need to upgrades  all the  my vpn clients?

Yes, you can. But you should be careful about compatibility between both versions.
