anyone experience in upgrading FGT 1240B?

Hello, we have a customer with a FGT 1240B and the unit is running out of memory often, while cpu usage is relatively really low. OS upgrades didn' t work out (currently they are on 5.0.7) The unit has 3Gb memory onboard. The newer 1240B have 6Gb on board from factory, so that is not a suprise ;-) Fortinet doesn' t support upgrading the memory but I heard it is possible. Does anyone has experience with this? No experience in upgrading the memory, but how was the upgrade path performed? In our 1240B installations, we had made the mistake of going from 4.2.12 to 4.3.15 and experienced memory creep until it went into conserve mode. We found if we used the stepped upgrade path it usually resoled that problem.
