administrative ip of the fortigate

friends in a fortigate I have noticed that the assigned lan ip is 0.0.0.0. How can I find out what the internal administrative IP of my fortigate is?

Would I have to assign an ip from my lan network for the administration of my fortigate?

Hello,

Lan interface doesn't have IP address assigned. In order to reach interface IP address should be assigned unless FortiGate is in transparent mode. Any interface can be used for administration as long ssh/https access is enabled on interface level.

In your current scenario you may consider to configure trust hosts in order to increase security level.

Hello,

You can use any of the lan interface to take the admin access of fortigate.
For this you would need to have the interface IP to reach the packet to the fortigate and allow the ssh/telnet/http/https on the interface in Administrative Access tab.
