ZALO can not receive phone when phone change sleep mode

In my company, I use firewall Fortinet 7.2.3 , I open only ZALO app connect to internet, I find IP of ZALO and add to policy destination, App can send, receive image, message and call/ receive phone but when my phone change sleep mode ZALO cannot receive phone. 

Please support me, thank you !


This can be something with the ZALO app config. FGT is able to send and receive everything that means it is able to send traffic. Best way would be to do a debug to see whether the traffic is passing out or not.

If ZALO calls aren't received when your phone is in sleep mode:

  1. Check your phone's power-saving settings and ensure ZALO has background permissions.
  2. Review Fortinet firewall policies to allow ZALO connections during sleep mode.
  3. Verify stateful inspection and NAT settings on the firewall.
  4. Check for VPN or proxy interference.
  5. Keep ZALO app updated.
  6. Test on different networks to isolate the issue.
  7. Contact ZALO and Fortinet support for assistance.
