Wireless and Internet network

Hello Is there any way to make the internel network and the wireless part of the same subnet ? ie. I want to use the wireless part of the 60 but also need to use the internal ports, but dont want to create all the extra vpn tunnels, etc.. I was hoping that the wireless and internal could appear as 1 network Thanks

According to the manual, putting the unit in transparent mode will put the wireless on the same segment as the LAN.

I havent played with the 60 units yet, but surely you could use zones for this, if you are using the later firmware. You could add the internal and wireless interfaces into one zone, therefore making them one segment. I may be wrong though, but sounds feasible to me.

Seems this is part of a common problem. I could not get internal to ping WLAN and vice versa, but both could access the internet (after I setup a default route). I put ina trouble ticket to see what develops. I tried adding policies back and forth, but no change. Would have thought that by default the internal would be the same net as the WLAN... Yes, it is possible to make the internal network and the wireless network part of the same subnet. This can be achieved by configuring the wireless access point to use the same IP address range and subnet mask as the internal network. By doing this, devices connected to the wireless network will be able to communicate with devices on the internal network without the need for additional VPN tunnels. However, it is important to ensure that the wireless network is secured to prevent unauthorized access to the internal network.
