I have to setup a VPN from a Pc with WIN7 that runs a cisco vpn client to a fortigate unit (FGT90D 5.2) . is it possible

Yes it's possible and doable. Just config the correct end-point ipv4 address, PSK or certificate and authentication. Also if you don't know, the shrewnet clients works, and the native macosx clients works.
FWIW: The windows L2TP-ipsec clients also works against a fortigate.
