Hello.
I am currently using an ARM-powered computer (Snapdragon X Plus) and I couldn't install Forticlient 7.4 normally. Then I installed Forticlient from the Windows Store and added a new VPN connection in the VPN tab under Settings. But I can't access any pages while connected to the VPN, I can't connect to SSH. The connection is successful but I can't do anything. Do I need another setting?
Hi @tunhiama,
Did you see the connection on FortiGate or traffic from the client?
Check if your FortiClient version is compatible with ARM. Double-check VPN settings, ensure proper routing, and verify Windows firewall or antivirus isn't blocking the connection. Review FortiClient logs for errors, and ensure your Windows is up-to-date.
The Forticlient version from the Windows market does not have a panel. It's not like the Forticlient we usually use. So we configure some things manually and there is no area where I can track logs.
The Forticlient screen is like below and the webpage with the address ( https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/1.0.0/windows-app-user-guide ) doesn't work. I don't know how to do it.
having trouble with VPN connectivity on your ARM-powered Windows device after installing Forticlient from the Windows Store. Although the connection is successful, you’re unable to access websites or use SSH. This issue could be related to DNS settings, network configurations, or compatibility with ARM architecture. I recommend checking your DNS settings, manually configuring a public DNS server like Google’s (8.8.8.8), and ensuring your VPN settings are correct. You should also verify that your firewall isn't blocking the VPN connection. If the problem persists, you might want to try an alternative VPN client optimized for ARM devices. I set the DNS settings as Google DNS as 8.8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as you said. I added all ports through the firewall as in https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.4.2/administration-guide/539869/required-services-a.... I wrote the service as https://{IP}:4443?cert=&ice=1 as VPN settings. Proxy settings are automatic. Other VPN settings are as follows. But still the same result. Unfortunately I cannot connect.
