Hi
We're using FortiClient with sslVPN to connect to HeadQuarter.
All traffic goes into the tunnel (no split tunnel).
When I use normal IE on W8, everything is working fine.
But when I use the IE app (Tablet mode) I'm not able to view a website.
The strange thing is, that I can see internal websites and external websites opened by IP address.
With wireshark I can see, that a DNS request doesn't goes into the tunnel but I don't know why.
Can someone crosscheck this with a W8 and sslVPN?
Thanks for your feedback.
Best
D

any update?
It seems IE app depends on dnscache service. 5.2.3 FortiClient by default will stop dnscache service when SSL is connected, thus affect IE app.
This behavior is configurable in the registry:
32 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Fortinet\SslvpnClient\WinDnsCacheService
64-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Fortinet\SslvpnClient\WinDnsCacheService
You can try changing its value to 1 (means don't touch it), or 2(means restart it), then IE app DNS should work.
