Hello,
Today I updated Windows 11 to the new version (22H2) on 2 PCs. FortiClient VPN worked seamlessly on the previous version (21H2) but after the update it doesn't connect and gives the following message:
Is it a known issue with FortiClient VPN? Is there a solution?
Thank you in advance,
Costas
Just registered here to say thanks James. Just jumped to Win11 recently and the RSAT tools were killing me in a way I never imagined. Thanks again!
This finally was the fix for me as well! THANK YOU JAMES!

That worked for us. Thank you James!
Hey! I would recommend checking with the FortiClient support team to see if they have a solution or workaround for this issue.
In the meantime, you can also try reinstalling the FortiClient VPN software or rolling back to the previous version of Windows 11 (21H2) to see if that resolves the issue. If it doesn't work out, you can buy a new license key at https://turnkeypoint.com/product/windows-11-pro/. I hope that helps you.
My way of resolving this:
Uninstall FortiClient
Restart
Run:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
Restart
Install the latest FortiClient version (preferably offline installer from firmware page)
Thanks. I gave it a try but no luck. The IP address is still not passed over to the Fortinet virtual adapter.
Try FortiClient 7.0.2.
Just had same issue, downgrading Realtek driver still didn't work. But this version worked on Windows 11.
Hello people.
it work fine to me too.
thanks so much
