WiFi and FortiTelemetry
Hi all,
Just saw something that I'd never noticed before. I have been investigating some performance issues and have been focusing on whether WiFi is part of the problem. When looking at the Network interfaces and the SSIDs, I noticed just one of the SSIDs has "FortiTelemetry" listed against it. The other SSIDs don't. I couldn't recall ever having seen FortiTelemetry before. Am wondering what it is and whether it is necessary and what would happen if I un-ticked the box on the interface?

Nothing would happen or change unless you use ForitiClient on each WiFi connected device to force endpoint control or something. It's just enabling the protocol on the interface(SSID) so it wouldn't affect performance if it's not used even you have it enabled.

Thanks for confirming.
We don't use FortiClient in that way, so I will try un-ticking the box.
