Why are mails sent to spam instead of inbox of the recipient?
Hello Team,
Please who can explain and get me the solution of this issue?
Whenever we use an application and tried to sent out mails to gmail,yahoo etc the mail got to the inbox of the recipient instead of their mailbox.

Hi Firdausi,
Are the messages landing in spam sent by a Fortinet product/service?
Is it the local/default smtp server you're using?
If you do, then you should move away from that, it's not intended to be used in production and messages will likely land in spam.
If you have your own server and messages still land in spam, then maybe your email server config is incomplete.
Aspects that could have been missed are DKIM, SPF.

Yes, the messages are landing in spam sent from fortinet service.
Yes, we are using SMTP server.

I in person use fortinet service but whenever i tried to send out mail to gmail /yahoo ,it landed to the recipient spam folder.

Ok, then you should use your own smtp server, not the default/local one.
And if your smtp server is configured properly, the messages shouldn't land in spam.
