Im asking because in the last three years i upgraded over 200+ fortigate 60E/F 100F and 500E and never had any issue. I always follow the upgrade path and do it through fortimanager.
I have to upgrade some devices tomorrow and I got the bad thinking what would I do if the device does not get back up after reboot...
Tell me your stories and how did you fix the unexpected upgrade fail?
I remember an operation of 1800F (HA) update from something like 7.0.5 to something like 7.0.7 (more or less). The update has failed leading to a split brain situation.
After opening a ticket the support said it is recommended for my 1800F to do the update not from FMG, but directly from FGT.
That was about 2 years ago with 7.0.x that was not mature yet. I guess the issue has been corrected now.
