What’s the cheapest way to get support for a used Fortigate?

I’m thinking of buying a used Fortigate for my home lab, and to get some experience administering. I’m not sure I’ll actually ever use support, bit what’s the cheapest way to get access to firmware updates? If I decided to branch out into some of their other devices, do I only need one support account to access the other firmware or is the account tied to only the registered device?

If you buy a second hand FGT, make sure you can ask Fortinet to move the ownership from the original owner to you. I know this is not always the case, but I don't actually know under which conditions it is possible. Maybe some experienced user can provide further information.

On the other hand, if it is for home lab then you probably don't need ATP/UTP subscription, you may only need FortiCare ESSENTIAL, which I think the cheapest:

As far as I know, you may not be allowed to download a firmware from another account and use it for your unlicensed device. Maybe some experienced user can provide further information on this point as well.
