I just ran the FortiClientInstaller for the VPN-only client, and it crawled for at least 40 minutes on a very good connection.
What is this thing doing, and why? I see no excuse for not simply posting a disk image.
For me it never took more than 5 minutes.
You can try download the full installer from support.fortinet.com. You may need an active contract for that.

Thanks. I had never visited Fortinet's site before, and it was the installer that took forever; not a browser.
Also, that page is where I got the installer.
Linux mint has by default disabled unverified flatpaks so you can only see verified flatpaks which Spotify isn't. You can turn it on in setting but how are beginners supposed to know that...
What does this have to do with the issue at hand?
Try download the full installer for MacOS from https://support.fortinet.com. You may need an active contract for that.

Thanks. I don't see it anywhere there.
At this point, it's moot. The thing eventually finished. But wasting customers' time with an inept installer is not a good look for a software vendor, especially for this kind of software.
Hope it helps.
