Fortinet SD-WAN uses a different design philosophy than Cisco's. While Cisco using so many components for dedicated and authoritative roles, Fortinet SD-WAN requires only one mandatory product which is FortiGate. However, FortiManager is timely used.
In short, a basic mapping of components between two vendors as below.
vEdge - FortiGate
vManage - FortiManager
vSmart - FortiGates who act as IPsec VPN hub and IBGP route reflector (or EBGP route server)
vBond, for PnP/ZTP/bootstrap/initial onboarding - FortiManager / FortiCloud
vBond, for STUN - FortiGates who act as ADVPN hub
vAnalytics - FortiAnalyzer
