I recently upgraded a Fortigate 60D to 5.0.7 (build 3608), however, I' m getting conflicting information regarding what version of firmware I' m actually running. GUI says: v5.0,build3608 (GA Patch 7) CLI says: Partition Image TotalSize(KB) Used(KB) Us e% Active 1 FGT60D-5.00-FW-build228-130809 257967 29011 1 1% No 2 FGT60D-5.00-FW-build271-140409 257967 28353 1 1% Yes 3 FLDB-10.00974 12375208 1636420 1 3% No Image build at Apr 9 2014 01:50:02 for b0271

Build 0271, if I recall correctly, is 5.0.6... build 3608 is a special branch of 0271 to address Heartbleed and was version numbered 5.0.7. What was scheduled to be 5.0.7 will now be 5.0.8 upon release and have a standard build number, likely between 0272 and 0300.

Bleh, weird way to number their firmware releases! And they seem to have released build 4459 this morning. Can' t find any documentation on it though.

GUI says: .. CLI says: ..

"get system status" shows actual (running) firmware version.

"diagnose sys flash list" shows names of primary (and secondary) partition.

You can also see these at the beginning of a configuration backup file.
