To answer that question, simply put the first line of your backup file into the attached script.

No doubt, but to just get the "version.MR number.patch" information, that can all be gleaned from just the first line. We aren't going to be restoring or auditing with this simple script. Nice link you posted above, by the way. Thank you.

Looks like with 5.6 they started adding the patch number (the third number of the version) into the first line, so you don't have to translate from the build number. I haven't checked 6.0 though. <5.4.8>
