Web filtering license expired

Hi, Sorry if this is in the wrong place, couldn' t see anywhere else to post it. One of our customers' Web filtering license has expired today, we are waiting on a new one now. What happens when the license expires, does the fortigate just allow everything through? The customer can now not get to any websites, he can ping google.co.uk for example but it will not come up in his browser. Thanks

Any policy with a protection profile (with webfiltering enabled) will fail, thereby blocking everything. If you disable the webfilter in the PP, it may work once again, but the users will have free access to everything....
