Web-Proxy Authentication In Clear Text

Hi All,

Currently we are using 5.0. Patch-10 version on FG310B.

We are using Web-Proxy with Windows 2003 Server LDAP for authentication purpose.

We found user authentication is pass via clear text, which we need to be secure.

If anyone did this, so please help me in this case.

Regards,

Shridhar

Hi there,

Communication between Fortigate and the Server for LDAP will be in plain text by default.

However, to encrypt, you need to use LDAPS. You should see the relevant settings on the Fortigate (LDAP Server section)

Server should be configured with ldaps, then we can import the ca certificate from ldaps server ( or the root certificated used for ldaps on the ldap server) to FG and select in ldap properties
