Web GUI Crash

The web GUI crashed when my colleague was editing (enabling) an interface. We were able to log in via the GUI, but after that only the top menu bar is displayed. The panels are all blank., it stays like this for a while before giving an HTTP 400 error.  We managed to restart the GUI service via the CLI.
